The Origin of "Qinquan" - A Measurement Standard Spanning Millennia

The name "Qinquan" derives from China's first unified system of weights and measures established during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE). The teapot's form replicates a bronze counterweight from that era, featuring:
• A body shaped like an ancient scale weight
• A knob resembling the weight's top loop
• A straight spout evoking a hanging needle

After unifying China, Emperor Qin Shi Huang standardized measurements using "quan" (权) as the official weight - symbolizing centralized authority. Qing Dynasty master potter Shao Daheng first adapted this form into a teapot, embedding political wisdom into tea culture.
