This vase is also known as the "Jingping," a sacred vessel said to be held by the Bodhisattva Guanyin. The shape is simple and elegant, with graceful lines. In the classic novel *Journey to the West*, the Bodhisattva Guanyin holds the Jingping, which can rejuvenate withered trees and help the Monkey King turn misfortune into fortune.

This vase is crafted using Ru ware techniques, with a glaze featuring fine crackle patterns, which is one of the characteristics of Ru ware. Additionally, its sky-blue color is unique to Ru ware. In Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty's dreams, there was a shade of sky blue after a heavy rain that he could not forget. He ordered craftsmen to create the color of "the sky clearing up after the rain breaks through the clouds." This order stumped many craftsmen, but only those from Ruzhou in Henan managed to achieve it.
