High aroma dry spiral-shaped jasmine tea made from Yunnan Silver Needle buds by Kungfuyang

2026 Spiral-Shaped Jasmine Tea

This exquisite jasmine tea originates from Hengzhou City (formerly Heng County) in Guangxiknown as the "Jasmine Capital of the World," producing over 60% of the world's jasmine tea. Crafted in 2026 using time-honored techniques, it combines premium Yunnan Baihao Yinzhen (Silver Needle) buds with locally harvested jasmine and magnolia blossoms, resulting in a delicately scented tea celebrated for its purity and aromatic complexity.

Why Jasmine Tea Contains No Flowers?

Authentic jasmine tea is created through a traditional scenting process called "yin zhi" (窨制). Fresh jasmine and magnolia blossoms are layered with tea leaves in controlled conditions. As the flowers naturally open at night, they release their fragrance, which is absorbed by the tea leaves. The spent flowers are then carefully removed, leaving only the fully scented tea leaves. This meticulous process is typically repeated three or more times with fresh flowers to achieve a rich, layered aroma without introducing vegetal notes or moisture from the blossoms themselves.

The tea is hand-rolled into a distinctive spiral shape that not only enhances its visual appeal but also slows the release of flavor during brewing. The dry tea presents silvery buds lightly frosted with visible pekoe. When steeped, it yields a pale golden liquor with a luminous clarity and an intoxicating aroma that harmonizes fresh jasmine, sweet magnolia, and honey-like sweetness from the silver needle base. The taste is smooth and subtly sweet, with a lingering floral finish that embodies the art of traditional jasmine tea craftsmanship.
